So I just bought a 1998 Accord EX sedan, f23 auto ( ). I couldn't pass the car up it is immaculate, inside and out, 1 owner, paid 1500 (I know the person who owned it), 130k miles. I have located 2 F20B engines and 2 manual gear boxes (yes I plan to swap to an F20B, I heard it is direct bolt in am I right?) for reasonable prices.

I have been all over the auto world, from mustangs, to vws, to bmws, to turbo'd dseries civic, to low rider s10s. For some reason the clean , slammed, jdm look has always held a soft spot in my heart. I hope this community is as great as the others I have been in as far as forums goes and I hope to learn a lot here.

Oh, I'll keep this short, I am 22, from Worcester County , MA and uhh ya thats about it haha.

I know that this specific generation of accord isn't in fact actually a jdm car, I don't reallu care I look at JDM as more of a fad/style, thank you for the heads up though, it will save me some unpleasant bashing I assume :)

Welcome to the site. This is one of the better forums on the interwebz when it comes to people not acting like dbags like often happens online.

Any photos of the car?

Here is the only pic I have of the car right now, it is currently down at my shop up on jackstands, I am extremely anal when it comes to buying a new car (up on jack stands, wheels off, EVERYTHING and I mean everything gets cleaned), wax, extreme detailing, oil change, filters changed, everything gone through within reason.

The only difference with the car now than how it is in the pic is I did not take the wheels, he took 500 off the price and kept the wheels, I am currently looking for something a bit more tasteful, any suggestions would be awesome.

It also has a really nice set of vent gaurds on it (love the one on the sunroof).

Any inputs on a suspension choice would be amazing as well, would love a nice set of reasonably priced coil overs, was going to see what ground control had to offer, or tien for a basic setup. Gunna do some searching around here on turbo single cam setups as well since I know a bit about them already as far as the dseries goes, maybe the f20b isn't the swap for me?

good job not taking the wheels. i hate chrome. speacially on hondas.

love the sohc vtec decals too. ima get some of those one day. remove the pin strip for a cleaner look.

f&f type 1 coilover seem to be the most popular and will only run you about 600. either that or you can get some tokico shocks and your choice of coil over sleeves or drop springs. my friend who is also a member on this site has tokico blues and nrg coil over sleeves. and they ride just a lil stiffer than stock. and he can go as low as he wants. hes had the nrg coil overs on for over a year and drove from cali to here (TN) on them w no issues yet.

I'll definitely have to look into those function and form coil overs, heard some decent things about them for other cars, didn't know they had a market for the accords.

I was thinking the same thing with the pin striping , probably do that tonight and wax her tomorrow. As far as wheels go, do they make slips for our cars? I love the look of them polished or black would be great to get a set of 17s and slam the accord. Any other suggestions would be good, feel free to throw anything out there you think would look good as far as the whole car goes. I already ordered a set of ebay clear/red tails, I want to find a nice set of headlights, preferably some euro r's.

If anyone sees euro r seats for sale anywhere, let me know I plan on swapping out the interior some time.

welcome nice pick up for the price.. good luck with your modding.. as for upgrades check out the product review forum and members rides and see what you like then you make judgements from there

and yes they make rota slips for the car... euro R headlights are going to require a lot of modification for them to fit look into blackhoused headlghts or retrofits

i believe you have to do some modding to the front clip to get the R headlights to fit right.

but for now you can black house your oems and poilsh up the lenses if need be... unlike my pass side in my sig pic :lawl:
