New Transmission on the way.

My transmission finally went out. So, I'm getting a new one. Is there any tips/advice I should know?

Also, is there any maintenance advice or driving advice to help care for this new transmission?

Should I get a transmission cooler and a filter?

Any tips/advice is welcome.

Can you elaborate some more? (how much more work will it be, will there be modifications to the engine bay)

5spd swap to the tl automatic?

idk if I want to spend more buying the ecu and stuff.

I read that before. I really don't want to do that. I started having more problems after I began doing that. So, I am looking for other ways to help prolong the new transmission.

Anybody else for a cooler? Getting the transmission in a couple of days. So, I'm trying to make sure I get everything. Also should i change my transmission mounts? My car is at 230000 miles. Won't really know the condition of the mounts until it is out.
