Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I'm looking to stay around for a while. Looks like a good place.

So... Let me start off by saying this, I drive a 2001 accord v6, I've been driving it for nearly 10k and it just isn't doing me justice anymore, I mean I love it, but I need to do something to fulfill my needs.

I've put around $3,000 into the sound system, replacing all the speakers with memphis, adding a memphis amp and a powerpro amp. Also with 2 12" jackhammer subs. Everything professionally done and rattle proofed. And a new JVC deck.

Here's the deal, I'm looking to spend in around $7,000 - $8,000 to get this thing going... well faster then it does now.

Does a turbo'd H22a swap sound like a good idea? Is there anyone out there that has swapped a 6th gen? If so, how did it go for you?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Welcome, do a search, many ppl have done swaps and you'll find a lot of useful information on this forum.

Welcome to the boards Corey. The H22 swap is fairly common in 6th gens, although im not sure if anyone is running a turbo H22 (I may be wrong). It seems like a good plan to make decent power, but I'm not really the guy to talk to for engine build theory. I'm sure some more qualified guys will chime in. Remember to use the search button, and enjoy your stay

Welcome! In for pics of the sound system.

Also, since you're v6 you could start with the obvious 6speed swap. And then you could supercharge, turbo, or swap another v6 in like the 3.2 or bigger. I wouldn't down grade to a 4 cylinder if I were you.
