Well for anyone still around having a 6th gen accord v6 and still read this forum here is a story for you young kids and young at heart. It was Tuesday night (2/19/2025) and someone had parked our 2000 3 liter LX coupe (220k miles about) with the rear way too close to the garage door so I went to move it and the car would not start. No crank no turn over, nothing, not even clicking. Electronics worked, light was good and I tested the 1 year old battery and it showed 12.5V on multimeter. Waited until Wed morning to start checking things out. Youtubing left and right and sounds like the over 2 decades old starter might be shot. Went to take it out and wasn't too difficult, I removed the battery and tray and those two 17mm bolts were really tight, as expected. Tested it outside the car and the starter DOES work. Hmmm. I was really running on clueless now. Can it be a fuse? ignition switch? relay? Then I noticed the car was getting closer to the garage door, like literally touching. I was able to push it forward a few inches and I said to myself WTF, is something wrong? If parked it shouldn't do that unless it was in neutral. A few moments later it hit me to check the tranny auto stick and someone parked it in "R". Yeah, happened before. Put everything back and car started like nothing ever happened before. Add this to your list of strange but true! Car keeps running like a champ!
