Since yesterday the power steering fluid has been spilling out of the reservoir, and the pump makes loud whining noises along with some weird crackling sounds (kind of sounds like something’s stuck inside).
I already replaced the o-ring that goes on the line that has the two 10mm bolts and I also took out all the old fluid and added new Honda power steering fluid but the issue still persists.
I’ve tried burping the air out by having the front of the car in Jack stands and turning the wheel left and right several times.
The power steering pump still makes whining/crackling sounds and the fluid in the reservoir is bubbling and spinning in a vortex (like a blender).
Where do I go from here? New pump?
