question abt flash diffusers

does it matter what diffuser i get (as in brand, type, etc)? i have a flash and debating if i really need one...

A diffuser is a diffuser from what I've read. I had originally bought the fong diffuser but sold it shortly after. I personally have the omni bounce diffuser which I like. I hear good things about the lumiquest but you can make them as opposed to buying them.

I jumped the gun and assumed you were talking about diffusers for external flashes.

material is a lot more important than brand. even printer paper or a thin tshirt can work. are you using a speedlight or onbody flash?

i use an omni bounce and DIY bounce card made from fun foam with my speedlight

here's the DIY bounce card. it actually works really well assuming you're inside with a ceiling for most of the light to bounce off of

that site can seem to freeze up sometimes though. i dont think the guy uploaded his pictures correctly
