Is it possible to custom a 4 speed auto to be a 5 speed auto? Like adding an extra gear in the transmission or something like that? Not sure if anyone has thought of that but here I am asking.

Lession number 2, dont make useless posts. Research the matter online or on the forum with "search_______".

And no its not something anyone would care to fab, spend time and money doing. I dont even think the best engineers in the world would waste their time trying to do this.

if any swap/money is going to be put into a car why not make it manual

time + money = no gain? i dont see why you would do it.. if youre trying to save gas by adding a 5th gear its really not necessary, youre under 3k rpm at 80mph.. just swap it to a manual unless you dont know/wish to drive a manual... my auto f23 to h22 5spd manual swap only set me back $2700 which is pretty decent. it would probably cost half that to have someone custom make something for you maybe, but again useless imo

convert existing tranny to a 5 speed....realistically no

however if you are a v6 you can get an acura tl or 7thgen accord v6 5spd auto...i know WHEELMAN on here has this with his 3.5 swap

or if you do a k engine swap you can use the 7thgen accords 5spd auto
