Question on 98 front bumper mounting licence plate bracket

I have a 01 accord sedan and I recently swapped the front bumper to a 98 front bumper. I need to put it on because of cops. I want to mount the front plate but do not want to screw through the bumper. I went to Honda and they sell 3 different types of plates and the one I got does not need to be screwed into the bumper. It some how hooks on under the center part of it and the plate you screw into the bracket with self tapping screws. I can not find a place to mount the plate cover. There is 2 bolts I bought at Honda too which are supposed to fit exactly onto the plate bracket. If anyone knows where this would hook up or has done it before please let me know. Thanks

hey bro... youre not alone. i have an 02', lol someone stole my plate mount and drove my car like this until i got a ticket coz i refuse to screw hles in my babys face. but anyway, if im not mistaken, i think only the bumpers without front mounting points can use the hidden bolt plate frame. the leaflets are pretty thin but they hold just like they were built to. look for two flat leaflets with bolt holes in them (pretty sure theyre dead center) right in the top of the bumpers "mouth".. if your bumper doesnt have those, they would likely have the front mount holes, which kinda sux

Thanks man I might just leave it off it looks so much better when you don'y have a front plate on. It makes everything look a lot cleaner.
