Well, I dont have it anymore.
Here's a story for ya'll.
So I have owned a 2000 VBP Accord Sedan LX 5 speed for 4 years now, and have steadily progressed in my modifications, from my ricey Megan catback to my PSPEC shortshifter and stuff. Well 2 weeks ago, my dad bought a new car (2006 Accord 6M Sedan) and so he said that I could have his 2001 NBP 3.2 TL. Cool right? Yea, damn cool.
The only catch was that my little sister, Caroline, would take the 6th gen. I thought to myself, no sweat, she has 2 weeks before school starts, she can learn to drive a stick. Well, I got proven wrong, 16 year old girls like my little sister cannot do more than one thing at once.
Her last driving "lesson" with my dad
After this lesson, she came back crying and threw the keys at me and told me that she would "never learn how to drive because the car is stupid" and that she wanted a car that "shifts itself"
(this car shifts itself)
After driving the TL for 2 weeks, I was beginning to like it a lot though, and I didnt want to give it up. I kinda like having an auto, its nice to hold hands with my girlfriend in the car. It is also really quiet, something the Accord isnt, and this life of luxury is quite infectious. My dad and I talked for a long time and instead of having me keep the TL, my parents decide to give my 16 year old sister a car that is worth twice as much as my 6th gen, and they dont expect her to pay for it (the 6th gen is paid in full by yours truly).
Instead of arguing and raising hell, I decided to make the best of it and install my Progress sway today, which took way longer than it should have. I started at 10am, before the day got too hot. I got the rear end up on jackstands and both rear wheels removed and was set to go.
Then I realized that my 14mm wrench was missing, no sweat, I ran to the store and got one. Then I proceeded to hose down both endlinks with PB Blaster like with a flood of Biblical proportions. After letting the PB Blaster soak for an hour or so, I went at the passenger side with caution, and sure enough, the allen key stripped out with barely any pressure. I tried many different ways to try and pry it loose and eventually got pissed and threw my wrench across the driveway.
After sitting inside for a while and cooling off, I ran down to the hardware store and bought a Dremel 300 series with a few cutting discs. I went to ****ing town with that *****. I cut the stock endlinks in like a hundred different places until I could get the nut off. With the stock bar off, it was easy! The Progress sway went on without any real hitches except for my center exhaust hangar. Since I was still horny for the Dremel, I cut that ***** off in like 10 seconds. Finally I was done, and when I looked at my phone, it was 3:15 and I had 6 missed calls and 10 new texts, screw them, I got it installed!
Once everything was installed properly, I got my license renewed (this time I'm not 15!) and took it for a little test drive. This thing ROCKS, like, if you dont have it, you have no idea what you're missing. Ok, PIXORZ
