Hello!

This is my first thread here, sorry if this has already been discussed before. :)

I have a 2dr 1999 4cyl with dark grey leather seats, and there is a large hole on the left side of the driver side seat cover. It was like that when I bought the car about 1.5 years ago (owned a 5th gen Coupe before), and I have been looking for a cheap fix for a long time now. I have checked how much new covers cost from Honda, and they are very expensive. I haven't found any used covers or anything on eBay. I have the original service manual and a lot of bulletins, and in one of them it says that it's possible to order patches that can be used to fix the seat covers, but the part numbers are not there. Maybe someone know if and where it's possible to get the seat covers cheaper, maybe used but that are in good shape? Maybe somebody here is selling some? I am from Norway and this car is VERY rare here, they weren't sold here originally, some of them were imported from Germany or Sweden, but they aren't that many of them there either, so finding wrecks here is almost impossible. It's a 2.0IES model which is kind of 4cyl EX version made in USA for the European market, but almost all parts are the same (except some exterior parts like bumpers and the engine which is F20B5).
I have seen a couple of these for sale here over the years and I think both of them also had a hole in the same spot, so I assume it's a common problem with these...? Any tips would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Tom

Look up the seller alphaautomotive on eBay. They have new covers in all the materials and colors. However it's spread out randomly through their thousands of stuff for sale. But it's there. Just spend some time looking through.

As I write this I'm putting my new tan leather cover on which I got from them for $75

Thank you, just found it. How's the quality on it? And does it look any different than the original, like the color and texture?

It's brand new OEM.

Took mine out of the packaging and it was inside out, like its supposed to be. And the tag says made 9/29/03

Best you can buy

Do you think these would work for the cloth seats to be covered?

75$ per upper back driver side. Just for one piece might as well get leather seats instead of covers. Ive been looking leather seat covers for a while. Cant seem to find any for a good price and proper fitment. So waiting until i c leather seats for sale

No idea man. You can open the back and take a picture and I'll tell you if it's one of the frames that'll accept leather.

He might be able change the covers over. Getting the whole seat might be a little cheaper... But good luck finding then in good condition.

Please note: If you buy one of those covers, ask them what it has holes for. Mine has a cutout for a seat with lumbar, which I don't have. I thought it was no big deal. Until I realized its a solid removable back piece, versus my old one which just zips up on the back, and the internals were slightly different for securing the cover. So I had to run to the junkyard. I picked up a full power leather seat, with lumbar of course, for $50. Uncovered the upper part and just swapped that to my bottom. Bolted right up and the new cover went on.
