Got this car as a donor car for my Accord to do the 6-6 & dash swap. Was trying to get the engine & MT by itself gutted out, but since this vendor was taking forever to sell me one, I found this running J32 6MT with wheels on instead, with a surprisingly good vehicle history, though it's relatively a high mileage car.

Decided to drive this car for a while, and going to complete the necessary resto-mods / parts replacements / maintenance, while she's mobile until the time to do the swap, so that every work will be test-driven to be ready to play the game.

Currently, she has multiple CELs, which all indicates the misfiring issue. New sparkplugs are on, but the codes are still there due to the clogged EGR, according to a member who had the same issue I'm having now:

Just had a accord a few weeks ago at the shop with these codes. Turned out the egr port in the intake manifold had bilt up carbon and was clogged. Pull your intake manifold (very easy too do) and check the port on the bottom side near the throttle body. If its clogged you will need to use a small drill bit and break it loose (careful not to go to deep). Than you will need to clean out the manifold using some carb cleaner. Hope this helps.

Got the new OEM EGR valve w/ the gasket + aftermarket EGR Valve Repair Kit (Part#B22001 & F23001) on its way, which is a drill bit and a metal plate to fix the clogging.

Contemplating on getting the J37 IM swap done all together this time, but I just wanna drive this thing soon lol.

I appreciate your kind words! This thing is actually one of those cars that can only look descent from a distance, when wet, and/or edited. Pictures can tell thousand words sometimes, but the QPs, hood, and door panels are all banged up lol. The paint color's becoming partially San Marino Pink with loosing clearcoat, too! it's been daily driven almost every year till 2018, possibly kept outdoor at one point, but she was running strong.

Yea it is a shame for the CL fans, but the heart of Type-S is going to be carried on! I'll be taking the dash & the front seats as well, so it'll be pretty much all extracted, except rear seats & door linings (minus switches n buttons). I think all features can be carried on, so it's just that the look of a CL is going to be trashed in the end haha.. But I'll try to keep some of those rare parts, even if they're not interchangeable.
Even w/o doing all of this, it's still a fun and rare car as a project to begin.

Sure, I'll post up more pics when I get more chances. Was only able to spend less than half hour to drive the car, since I got the CELs, but I drove from my house to a shop, so I think I'm alright haha. I just want to drive this thing for a whole day lol.

Got the EGR assembly replaced and the passage port cleaned up. The port wasn't that dirty, but the EGR valve itself was nasty as hell lol! Got the CELs cleared, but it still has that underlying misfire! Had the ignition coil isolation testing and it seems like there's a dead one plus a couple of those being weak. Got a set of new coils on its way, and hopefully no more misfiring.

Nice pick up! I've been hunting for a donor car but refuse to pay these crazy prices. People ask for $4k+ for a 200k mile car lolol. Can't wait to see the swap done on the Accord!

Drove for 2 days with no more CELs popping up. I can def feel the difference of 60+hp compared to my V6 Accord, and the 6MT is sooo much fun!

Found out a few things about the car:

1. Brake pads are mostly done.
2. When it fires up at a start, it ignites fine but the fuel sounds like it isn't getting injected / pumped out effectively. Got the fuel injector relay very recently but I feel like the fuel pump is due soon.
3. Can't hear the VTEC kicking in yo. The spool valve housing / the solenoid is probably done.
4. Seems like the heater control valve got replaced previously, but there's actually no heat coming out at the warm setting. The A/C is icy cold tho!
5. Everything turns off and on, except for the driver's side's high and low beam, and it keeps blowing out the fuse. Makes me want to replace the whole wire harnesses haha.
6. The Bose radio works nice, but the compact disc playa is not in the game.

Overall, I'm glad to see and feel that she's in running condition as a donor car in the near future.

Thanks guys. The '03 CLS6 is def getting hard to come by. I used so many used car inventory websites, even with getting a help from my buddy using the dealer auction sites, there were only 2 cars available, including this one.. Who knows when a good one get's popped up randomly, but GL to you gents. Btw, I got this 148K mi for $4800 from a dealer, 2300 miles away from my home, so hearing $4K for 200K mi isn't that bad, and that's abt the right price imo.
