New member & UW alumn here - now in MKE. Go winter. Just picked up my 1st 6th gen accord (2001 EX sedan 5-sp, 4-cyl, 55k!). My previous car (a fabulous sh*tbox 94 Sentra) basically disintegrated -- great engine (GA16DE), crappy car. I owned a 4th gen Accord SE many years ago, and am happy to be back in a newer one.
I'm from Chicago and drive a 5th gen ('97) Accord EX auto sedan, 53k mi. Anyone from Chi or the great lakes region, we have an Accord crew called Great Lakes Accords (put a dot com at the end for our site) and we have meets from time to time. check it out and help Accords grow in the region lol
Hello Mirth here from Clarkston, MI. Today I purchased my first Honda-a 1999, 2.3, manual, Accord DX. A real plain Jane. It was completely undercoated (old school Ziebarted) when first purchased by original owner. I am the second. It looks amazing for a rust belt car. There is a little rust on the right quarter wheel arch. Unfortunately, it not surface rust. Plan to cut rusted section out etc. Hello to fellow Michiganders.
