Smell of exhaust in car

Seems more prominent when the heater is turned on. I have to open the windows to really get rid of it. It sometimes makes me have to cough too which is annoying. Any idea what's going on? It doesn't smell like gasoline, just kind of like the exhaust from the muffler.

I have a skunk2 catback, with headers and and aem sri.

from what i understand, that's an exhaust leak and it's probably the gasket between the header and block. might as well replace the other 2 gaskets at the header too. Also check for cracks in the header

First off I'd jack the car up then have someone rev it while you try to find something

but if you smell it, you have a way out, the muffler, and a way in, the car...

so I'd check the trunk (back area work forwards) for holes.
