Yeah basically just started hissing and spraying honda blue 50/50 everywhere. I could've sworn I was looking at the exhaust of the person who's parking spot I was waiting to take.

Anyway, it has a thin slice LIke tear in the top base of the radiator. Where the cap and the return hose. There has been crustyness there for sometime now but I guess it finally decided to go on me the day I was going to do my balljoint.

I already located a denso for around $76.00 for the neighborhood parts store. I know it's $50 something on rockauto but I cant stand around waiting for it.

Long story short:

If I wanted to be frugal (since I just spent a $#/!load of money on suspension), can I use the radiator from my cb7? It's been sitting for almost a year now and idk what I'm doing with it. can borrow that radiator and use it until the one from rockauto comes in?

I have a 98 2.3L lx with a leaking radiator
and I want to use the radiator from my
90 ex 2.2L.

Is this gonna work or what?

Major modification?

according to pictures, the hoses should fit....however the mounting brackets might be tricky...And the drain plug looks different as well.

If you really want, it will work. Zip tie it up, make it work and just order the new one now. Personally, I would just buy the replacement now.

Thanks guys. I was all over the place this morning/afternoon. I ended up buying the replacement from the local parts store. Cost me around $110 with 2 gal of coolant. It is a denso but feels/looks slightly different from the original.

I think there were two brands Honda used. Valeo and Denso IIRC. Maybe it was the difference in the manual trans one and the auto trans one? Not sure.
