It took him a good 10 months before he finally settled down enough to actually be responsive and considered a "good dog" he was so mischievous, he wouldnt really chew stuff up, but he would take things and want you to chase him to try and get them. That gets old after a while, when you have pretty much all of the shoes in the house sitting on the counter next to you because you took them from him. I have 3 sisters, that is a LOT of shoes, lol!

lol bear chews up everything. i dont know if raymond told you but the other day we went outside to wash my car and some how bear managed to get in the bucket that had all my cleaning supplies and eat them. my mitt was chewed, the soap bottle no longer had soap, my absorber was entirely missing all i found was the wrapper from the case. i was soo upset with him. and today i found him eating one of my dad car manuals. i just dont know what to do, i go outside like once a day and pick up anything off the floor he found and started chewing. =/

something that I have found helps with young puppies is to keep them penned in the busiest place of the house, aka, the kitchen or wherever, preferably with hard floors (easier to clean up accidents and keep hair under control) and just keep that room's floor clear of anything like shoes or stuff. Since it is the busiest room, the puppy doesnt get bored as easily as well and you can keep an eye on him and correct him when he does something wrong. You can use things like baby gates or an actual pen to keep them there. This helps a ton with obedience and discipline for young dogs.
