Hey guys so i finally got the oem upper mounts from honda and have my street advance coils ready to install, but i have just a few more questions as ive never had coilovers before. I plan on going as low as i can with them, but will i have problems with rubbing or touching what i believe to be the upper control arms up front, Also since i plan on going as low as i can with them, i would set the spring seat and lock all the way to the last (bottom) thread correct? because if i do this the spring isnt actually touching the upper mounts. When installed would the strut compress from the weight of my car and would they naturally seat themselves, or should i set the coils to drop a little when installed, then adjust to the lowest setting. Also any tips for dampening setting would be great. Thanks

There's a lot of threads on here on similar topics. Search first. If I knew anything about coil overs I would chime in. I'm pretty sure the coils do need to set in once they're installed so the car may lower a little more once fully set. Good luck with install.

If you’re set on wanting to go as low as the suspension can take you, then set the spring seat at the bottom (I wouldn’t leave it up to one thread, I’d use two to be safe), and lock it in. When you lower the car back down, just watch to make sure the top of the assembly seats correctly. Then go for a test drive, take it slow and cautious to see if you hear/feel anything. If you do, figure out what it is and raise the car until it’s gone, or you modify to eliminate. For example, if you find that the the UCA is hitting the strut tower then you’ll have to modify it.

Dampening is subjective, you’ll just have to play with that. Start out with it halfway between hard and soft so you have a reference, and then drive to see if you want the ride to be firmer or more forgiving. I have my Yellow dampening set to 1.5 turns (out of 2).
