Okay, so lately I've had a problem with my sub jumping out of its box. So I've turned it and drilled new hole and all. But now, the thing is making a electric whining noise and not hitting very hard. Help?

Update: upon fiddling around a bit, I discovered my "low ohms" light on my amp is lighting up and that my speaker is not hitting when I put it to the 9 volt battery test.

Time for a new sub... hopefully it doesn't short out the amp. Does it feel grainy when you push in on the sub itself? Prob a fried voice coil.

EDIT: it is also possible that the amp is toast, and clipping enough to blow the sub. You need an oscilloscope.
