I like a good amount of trance and house..... but Tiesto is too boring for me, not a big fan of too many of his songs. Couldn't really speak to any of his live sets.

i have seen him live, and it was a great show back in 2006 lol. since then i have felt like his sets are "more of the same" and he has fallen back on his name and relies on it to keep him successful. Deadmau5 completely overshadows Tiesto right now, in my opinion.

my brother saw him at ultra ad said its one of the best shows hes put on with his new stuff, i.e. the cd he has yet to release thats just him no compilations, i love Deadmau5, but sense he went on mtv im kinda disappointed just because i now half to deal with idiots who dont really know what EDM is, and only know Deadmau5, and i now cant get my hands on tickets when he comes to my area. and the 1 time i did get to see him, the venue cut his set short so i was pretty pissed. i do like his new album tho

i was pretty upset when Ghosts and Stuff went mainstream as well. i hated hearing it on the radio because it had already been out for a LONG time and now ppl were sucking his dick for it. I have seen Deadmau5 live, and it ****ing amazing.

So I gave this "house" music a chance because everyone on here talks about it...

Its boring. Stuff sounds like an instrumental to a Kesha song. Honestly, it might be better if I were at a bar or something and they played it but I just don't understand how you guys like it so much...sorry I tried.

I listen to everything. Ipod has everything from Wilson Pickett, Andrea Bocelli, some pop stuff, John Mayer, to Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Coheed and Cambria. I give everything a chance

Steve, it's weird... to me some "house" is good, some is boring, some sucks, same with trance (okay MOST of it isn't my thing, needs to be good amount of vocals for me to like it)

There's just so much variety.... there's gotta be some stuff you like. And there will be a lot of stuff you don't. :lawl:

For me, I've found David Guetta and Morgan Page to pretty much be the sweetspot.

90% of Deadmau5 is too boring (read: progressive) for me. And I prefer more lyrical based EDM.
