bends are for clearance of the 6spd rear motor mount. Ive heard that the j30 rear doesnt line up completely, and only two of the three bolts holes will work. However, my rear j30 mount lined up with all bolt holes (99 v6 accord) so I dont know if theres a design difference between models of 6th gen accords or not. .. .

You won't need it only if that motor was originally mated to a 6 speed manual transmission, otherwise you will need RichieV6's module.

I am doing this swap 2016! We now have AEM EMS series 2 (30-6051) to control ANY J series engine! :-O

I got an OBX turbo exhaust manifold and tons of other parts to my my 1998 Accord Fly!

Is this an improved version of the AEM standalone for the J engine? I'm planning to pick one up and tune by the end of the year.

Just snagged a 2002 se 2.3 ulev vtec with 58k miles and I’m already looking at a j32a2 6spd awd limited differential swap .. I’m a few years away from starting, but this was the first thread that popped up and I was in Afghanistan during 2011 when this started, so that’s funny

you have such a low miles on your 6th gen, i will keep it as is if the rest of the car is mint. doing 6 speed swap in 4 cylinder 5 speed is not easy, the engine is towards passenger side and transmission is on the driver side where as on 4 cylinder is the other way. better to find a v6 6th gen for V6 6 speed swap.
