Well as you all know i just picked this car up, well the other day i heard a whining noise while the car was running, a buddy said it sounds like the timing belt tensioner, if any one has had this problem let me know what is is asap please, so i can order the part at work tomorrow.

Also the timing belt has just been replaced friday, same day i picked it up

Was it doing the noise prior to you changing the belt/pump?
Who did your timing belt/waterpump?
Did you already take it to them and ask them to recheck their work? the tension on the timing belt/balance shaft belt/ac belt/ps belt?

well the guy i bought it from took it to a shop, before i bought it, when i went to go buy it he told me the belt, water pump has been replaced that day (he just got back from the shop)

the belt is new and im not sure about the t-belt tensioners

so i dont even know what the shop is, but i took it apart since im a tech anyways to do it my self, and it still makes the noise with all drive belts off, the video is everything off besides t-belt

ive been reading the belt might be to tight

alot of people are having this issue on these motors, they bring it back and they loosen it and still makes the noise, 15k miles later still makes the noise, so im not sure lol

Your "Whispering Eye"
Could it be your accessory belts? Does it make the sound all the time while running? Or does it make that sound while your heat or air conditioning is on?

if so then you should be able to analyse the noise. is the tightness/tension on the belt set correct? if so then chances are you might need to change out the t.belt tensioner pulley & spring as the shop probably just used the same ones they took off. Install the timing belt and the balance shaft belt and retry again

Ive had my t.belt changed twice now and never had an issue with it
