Hi I have the 2000 V6 and did the transmission fluid myself last time and there is
definitely a fill bolt like you just described. It is a pretty big one marked with ATF. I forgot the socket size though.
I used one of those 20in long extension bar (craftmans 1/2in drive) and a 18in autozone breaker bar and POP the bolt came off. But it was tight as ****!
BTW that drain plug was also on damn *** tight. Now I have bigger and better tools so everything is easier. I'll try to take a picture for you later today.
