    What transmission would bolt up perfectly with my J30A1 without needing a new ECU?

    If you go automatic you could bolt one up using a external transmission controller. You could still use your J30A1 ECU.

    You just need to find someone or a shop that can make, wire and tweak the external transmission controller. Those are custom made, you can't buy one off the shelf.

    None. Anything else requires swapping the ECU, unless you use an external transmission controller.

    Automatics - None. Anything else requires swapping the ECU, unless you use an external transmission controller.


    Manual - 6 speed, IF you could find a Richie V6 module. They are VERY rare. He does not make them anymore.

    What automatic transmissions could I use that would use the same wiring harness and with a direct fit ECU? And still bolt up?

    isnt b7ta same 4 speed as b7xa? so im assuming it could be used
