Traveling with camera??

Well i never thought about this until my dad asked me..But this weekend i will be flying to Florida for a week..well are there any precautions i should take when i take it with me on the plane...since it will be going threw metal detectors and all that fun stuff..i just don't want to show up in florida and my camera is fried...

its fine. what are you concerned about?
i flew from lax to toronto last week, no problems. my camera was in my photography bag. just follow the rules.

thanks for the responses..i just was making sure that none of the metal detector, x-ray stuff would fry memory card, sensors or anything else

no my dad works for airtran airways and he says that all the stuff that goes through the metal detector will never get harmed...it didnt used to be that way but they are now built to be harmless to everything that runs through them
