New member here, recently bought an 01 ex sedan and it’s been raining heavy here in Oregon. Woke up earlier today to find the carpet on the driver side sopping wet with water. I assume it’s a blocked drain from the sunroof but I’m not entirely sure. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pull off your kick panels on both sides and stick a droplight up in there and have someone trickle water into the sunroof tray (it will need to be open) our sunroof drain hoses sometimes get damaged at the end and end up draining inside.

For mine, I lengthened both of them so that they could no longer be jostled inside

check the top corners of your windshield seal and see if it's cracked. If you pull the top part of your a pillar trim back and feel along the inside kind of under the headliner, see if you feel water drooling through with someone pouring water on it from outside over those cracks

Double check it's definitely water and not coolant

I haven't seen it on Hondas, but some vehicles under the trim under the wiper arms have drains that can be clogged over time and then water can overflow from fresh air vents. Someone might chime in if that's not designed this way? But if you pop off your wiper arms and get under that trim and it's full of water it's a good place to start

One more place I can think of is the drain for the evaporator. If you're using defrost or ac a lot and it's clogged, it can drain back into car. Look up where that drain tube is along the firewall and pinch it and see if it's full of debris and water comes out.
