mine doesnt really go off by auto doors that much, i have noticed that stores' security systems set off either x or k, usually k.

also, sometimes i get x or k when im coming up on a traffic light, dont knwo why, i never see cops and theres really no busisnesses around this one light that would set it off.

I never really got an X band from a cop until one day i was driving on the ac expressway...x band goes off loud as shiet. 20 seconds later...a cop is seen. awesome. Thanks nj lol
