Hi all, this is my first post on here! I just bought my friends old 2000 coupe with the 3.0 in it. She blew the rear side head gasket running it hot and pretty sure it also needs new injectors cuz it’s dumping fuel pretty bad. I can handle fixing all that, I’m more interested in what you all think I should do with it? I’d love to swap in an h22 but from what I’ve been reading the layout of the j vs the f model coupe is way different and I’d have to do some fab work. What would you guys suggest? Is it worth it to attempt a 4 cylinder conversion or should I stick with a j? Also would it be better to just buy a 32 or 35 and do that swap? There is one thing I’m definitely doing regardless and that’s throwing the auto tranny in the garbage and getting a manual. Right now it’s having issues going from 2nd to 3rd

Stick with the J swap. If you're going manual, J32/J35 swap is the best move. Having done the J32a2 swap myself, if you're going NA, do a J35. If you're going for boost stick with a J32.
