WTH is this hose for...

Cleaned the car today and looking at the engine bay noticed a hose that just points down and is open ended...was curious what's it for and if its suppose to connect somwhere....In the pics below its the greyish hose that's held by the black clamp...

its for the flux capicitor on the euro models

it looks more like a lubrication line for the muffler bearings.

thats what it looks like to me. i think that black clip is supposed to be attached to your hood

There is no way to attach that to the hood...Following the hose it goes somewhere behind the mount and then disappears & the clip can no way be moved...
More detailed high res pics added. Hose has been dotted with yellow dots in one pic...

This ^ I'll take a picture of my auto Trans to show you where it goes to. I think it is the overflow hose though.

well...im not for sure that is the windshield washer tube....but...out of curiousity....try activating the sprayer and see what happens....unless someone removed the tank and it's tubing all together(which from your last pic is missing from it's normal place)...i'm just interested to see where it comes spraying out...

But that's on the distributor side of the 4 cyl... the washer runs up the drivers side fender to the cowl...
