I'm looking into getting a Yakima Roof Rack with the bike attachments and was wondering if anybody had any issues with it damaging the paint on the cars. I was told from a friend who works at a body shop that said it pinches the paint and leaves a mark. I Found a used roof rack on craigslist and thinking of getting it but just wanna make sure that there aren't any problems.

I have not had any issues with it on the paint. The rubber pads will leave a sticky residue that just needs some elbow grease and some sticker removal spray to get it off. Other than that there has been no damage to the paint or car
