Dyeing Carpet for $2.50

I used Rit black dye from walmart

Took out the seats and center console

Used Rustoleum trim and bumper spray for the console and trim. I'm sure there's better spray, or just grab some black trim from a junkyard.

Happy with the results. I'll see how it holds up.

Have more recent pics? I’m curious. I tried to paint the carpet and ended up swapping the whole interior.

It looks terrible with the camera flash, but it's not bad.

The sides are as dark as they're gonna get. Doesn't look too bad in person. I doubt anyone will notice it was gray.

The trim held up well so far.

Everything is from an 03 CL Type S.

They need some modifications to fit. (Front bolt up fine/ Rear seats and panels do not fit.)

I'll get to them eventually. The seat belts in the rear are in different spots. (Standard bench vs. center console etc.)
