    Car died, but perky again

Nine times out of ten, when a 6gen Accord stalls while you are driving (as opposed to being unable to restart after you park), it is a fuel pump going bad. For a long time, my Accord idled a little low and rough (600 rpm), and often felt like it was going to stall while going around corners. I...

    whats the difference

I have a JDM F23 also, and the improved throttle response is for real. The compression is slightly higher, and the head flows a little better. It is just a little more rev happy than the USDM engine. I also had no problem passing smog with it. I also used my original manifolds and dizzy.

    Need engine!

Just go to one of the JDM engine suppliers and get a JDM F23. They are cheap, lower miles than what you can get here, and you get a slight boost in power. And in NV you don't need to worry about smog inspections.

    clunking sound

Probably a loose brake caliper. The bolts in the calipers strip out and work loose sometimes, so that is what to look for. But you should also check the swaybar end links.

    THE Suspension Review Thread

Brand: Tanabe DF210 springs with Tokico Illumina shocks Purchased: $650.00 for everything from Ebay. Pros: Adjustable shocks, great ride on the middle setting. 2" drop in front, 1.5" drop in back. No boat look. Car just clears the driveway with an Apex WS2 exhaust. The drop...

noob needs help!! TAKE THAT LOOK OFF UR FACE

You should also go through the "Members' Rides" section, and look at the photos of the cars. Every car has a spec sheet at the beginning of the thread showing what wheels and tires the owner has (or wishes that he had -- read carefully). This will give you an idea how various wheel, tire and...

    Air Vent Control

If the buttons on your climate control stop working, and the vents get stuck in one position.... You probably have a bad mode control motor. It is located in the driver's footwell next to the area where the back of the radio is. Once you slide down in there, it takes five minutes to change it...

    Hyperblinking signals

You do not have to have a bad bulb or filament to get hyperblinking. I had that problem for a long time and I finally traced it to a very slightly loose connection between the bulb and the socket in the front turn signal. The connection was just loose enough that it would arc and the bulb...

    Lowering question?

Autozone loans a spring compressor for a $60 credit card deposit, or will sell you one for the same price. You can do the spring/strut job yourself pretty easily, but you will need a shop to align the car after. If you lower the car 2 inches or less, then you will not need a front camber kit...

    Ebay projectors or reflectors

+ 1 on the OEM style blackhoused headlights from Ebay. I got mine from Watomi Racing, and used Silverstar bulbs. The Ebay lights cost me around $120 shipped if memory serves. They actually seem to have better reflectors than the stockers -- they throw longer and more clearly defined cones of...

    More Torque??

Get a JDM F23. They are cheap enough. Out of the box you will get better throttle response and a boost in midrange torque that you can feel. Once you get it, port the head and intake manifold, and add a larger throttle body, bigger injectors, and a better fuel pump. Add I/H/E to this. In...

    Apexi WS2 or TANABE

@snip33r: You can get the Apexi muffler and tip separate for about $200.00. However, the Apexi catback not only has that muffler, it also has a long premuffler just after the cat that looks like a glasspack. Without the premuffler, your custom built exhaust system may be a bit louder...

    fixing polyurethane tear?

I found a tube of polyurethane adhesive in the paint/glue dept at Lowe's hardware. I got some tabs torn on my rear bumper a long time ago from a hit/run driver, and I can't get it any straighter without some glue work. I haven't used it yet, but since it has polyurethane as an ingredient, it...
