My H22a4 build (FINALLY GETTING STARTED!)

Well on this humid, muggy evening in Bowling Green, KY, I finally got started on the building of my h22, finally! After waiting on parts and botching the order of my 55mm ACL race main bearing, I finally got some OEM 50mm replacements. So tonight, I got started on putting the bottom end...

Plz help!! Main bearing won't fit flush!?

I do remember specifically telling FRSport.com I needed them for a H22a4. The block is from a 97. I ran the model number on the box 5M1957H-STD, and it pulled them up for a H22a4: http://www.aclperformance.com.au/us/...Bearingsus.htm It seems that they are 55mm and not 50mm...

Plz help!! Main bearing won't fit flush!?

Starting the assembly on my h22 and my ACL main bearings won't fit. I flush the notch with the bearing in the grove of the bearing journal and the opposite side is about a 1/2 inch above the other side. If anyone has any insight, please let me know something!

    Finally got my H22

So I finally picked up my motor last night for a staggering $400, DEAL! Supposedly it has been bored .020 and has Type S pistons, but the number on the piston is P5M and not P5P so this has led me to believe the guy I got it from doesn't know what he's talking about. So I talked to him about...

H22 or F20b... Which is easier?

With tax returns on the horizon, I finally plan to swap my F23 for a H22 or F20b. I'm ok with using either engine, I just want to know which is an easier to swap. I've done some research into doing the swap but haven't really found which is easier, granted a engine swap is not easy. Any help...

    Front 6.5" Speaker installation (doors)

great post. i put alpine type r 6.5's in and they were too deep. they were a full inch taller than the stock speaker. me and my friend put them in used some 3/4 inch ply wood to make a spacer and we figured out how to use the stock mounting points of the stock speaker.
