Accord 4cyl overheating...probably a leak or air in system

Thank you, I found the leak at the cooling outlet for the upper radiator pipe (where the plastic housing is). I just happened to have accidentally bought the gasket when I bought my thermostat, not I can't see any obvious cracks in the plastic but haven't taken it off yet. I thank you for...

Accord 4cyl overheating...probably a leak or air in system

I have had never had cooling issues on any of my cars so this is new to me. A few months ago, my car would overheat in traffic so I replaced the thermostat. I didn't really think about this at the time, but I was really low on coolant. In the past, when I changed my thermostat (I have owned...

Free-Pioneer Pioneer AVIC-F900BT with some issues, pick up or plus shipping

I just got a new HU with Apple Car play so I don't need this. It actually sounds better than the Alpine it replaced. It is a navigation unit, with built in navigation, that doesn't use your phone, which is good when you are out side of range. That's the good. The bad. Touch screen is...

    HandA Accessories

I don't think I bought from them but I would always browse. Even though I quit smoking, I loved the smokers package because it looked so much more what the factory probably intended and then made it option. I also really wanted a 3rd din kit for an equalizer. Unfortunate.

6 Gen Accord dilemma, what would you do?

Hella months too late but that is what I am thinking. I am about to price out everything I need or want to replace (I am undoing my white LED conversion that didn't have diodes that stood the test of time, plus undoing some interior mods, and thinking about another 15K. I also got to decide if...

    OGs post up!

Yeah, I think this car would be really fun with an intake and some coil overs. It's not quiet but I would love to hear the intake sound more (I am a turbo guy) than the exhaust. I think coil overs would be a plus but the car handles so well stock, it's been hard to know what is really an...

Illuminated windows and mirror switches button

Unless you have a 4 door, wouldn't it only be 2 door switches on drivers side and the mirror adjustment? I spent a lot of time on my LED conversion and though fun, I wouldn't do it again. Seems like a lot of work for minimal differences. I would rather get a nicer headunit with a screen and...

Powerstop-Z26 Street Warrior Brake Kit??? Or similar???

I couldn't tell if it was the same rotor, I have owned my car since 2003 so it's hard to remember, and I didn't note which one was warped in my records when I bought a pair. My brakes function fine, I am not worried about to much about the caliper, all have looked really good when I have...

Eye candy material- 60 second preview of my Accord

This makes me want to put aftermarket wheels on my car again, replace the front lip, and be stylish. I wouldn't do the stripe but I like it. Super clean.

    OGs post up!

Actually, totally opposite. Every maintenance was done by Honda (except oil changes) and every replacement part was Honda. So it is stock as can be. Owning an appreciating vehicle is hard, my DSM went up in price when I owned it. It's not really if it is stock or modified but you need to put...

Powerstop-Z26 Street Warrior Brake Kit??? Or similar???

Although I understand it is far from an apples to apples comparison, I do appreciate the input. First, I will be surprised to even put 18k miles, give I have owned my car since 2003 and just hit 90k, so about 82k in 16 years so that is like 4 years almost for me. Secondly, I am glad the...

    OGs post up!

It's different. I don't drive either car much, I bought my 2002 Accord in 2003 with 7,000 miles or something, so about 5k a year. Even though I only put about 700 miles on the S2000 this year, I get so used to that power band. I on the rare occasion I drive the Accord car fast, I always hit...

    OGs post up!

Here is mine, everything the same as it was when I was active, except stock wheel back on (still have my 17's) and my lip broke off many years ago, I probably should replace it. With my S2k which just needs some cosmetic work (not as obvious in the photos). Fun fact. For some reason my S2000...

6 Gen Accord dilemma, what would you do?

The main reason reason I would want to get rid of my Accord is because it really isn't particular fun to drive. Truth be told, when I bought it, I had no intention on keeping it long term, now I have had it for 16 years. So now, many regular, non performance cars are just as fun to drive...

6 Gen Accord dilemma, what would you do?

I have an 2002 Accord with 90k miles on it. It is a 4 banger, 5 spd. Though that number is low, this car has seen probably thousands of sub 1 mile trips. I also acquired a really nice S2000 that needs cosmetic work (new top and paint for about 1/2 the car, clear coat failed on original paint...

Factory optional 1din lower storage part reference ?

I seem them on Ebay from time to time. Because they are rare, they typically are in the 100-150 range in OK to good condition. I don't have the part number but I hope to come up on cheap one to add an EQ, as I am a musician and work with a mixing console all day. Sorry I don't have a part...

Powerstop-Z26 Street Warrior Brake Kit??? Or similar???

I haven't priced it out but because I need one rotor, which means two, this actually may be cheaper. Definitely cheap enough to not worry about cost differences if they are an improvement. I don't think the rotors will be, but if the plating holds up, that is a plus.

    RR's 2014 ATS 6spd 2.0T

Thank you for the info. Btw, I didn't know the TSX had the TL engine (with MT) until I started looking at the wagon. It only comes with AT, and I believe the 4 banger but a 4 door does have the bigger motor- https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a16581412/2010-acura-tsx-v6-road-test-review/ I...

Infinity Kappa 60.11CS 6-3/4" Component Speaker System, thoughts?

I have 3rd Gen??? Infinty Kappa speakers I have owned for almost 25 years. For the most part, I liked them when they were working well, a slight bit harsh but nothing I couldn't eq out. They were green coned ones, for any who may remember. I probably wouldn't upgrade if these would last...

HU Upgrade from a Pioneer AVIC-F900BT

I have had a Pioneer AVIC-F900BT for like a decade or more. I feel it sounds better than the Alpines I had of the time, but it takes forever to start up, now the touch screen has issues. It had Bluetooth calling but no audio. Truth be told, I still buy CD's so until recently, I didn't really...

    RR's 2014 ATS 6spd 2.0T

Wow, good choice. I have been off the board for so long, my Accord used to get about 10 miles per week once I moved to a city so I kind of got of the board due to that, and divorce, etc. I really was interested in one of these when I saw one in person, then found they came in manual. I have...

Powerstop-Z26 Street Warrior Brake Kit??? Or similar???

Long time member but have been out of the modding scene for a long time. First and foremost, I am currently on stock alloys and I do not want something that cannot fit stock wheels. I could see myself putting 17's back on, probably not my old ones, but it is very important I am not stuck with...
