I have 3rd Gen??? Infinty Kappa speakers I have owned for almost 25 years. For the most part, I liked them when they were working well, a slight bit harsh but nothing I couldn't eq out. They were green coned ones, for any who may remember. I probably wouldn't upgrade if these would last forever but with a 1996 build date (if I recall), it's time for something new. I don't need the best, I don't need the greatest, but I do need something new. The price point, being a discontinued speaker, seems excellent. Furthermore, as a musician, I tend to like to stay in the same family of speakers, assuming they sound similar and keep the same philosophy as I reference a lot of my music from the studio in my car. It's hard to know if that is the case when this much time passes but it is part of my consideration. Just wanted to know your thoughts on these. I am all wired up for crossovers and have a plenty powerful amp, just wondering if anyone has a strong opinion of these, good or bad.
