    auto shifter conversion questions

    from tas they have the auto shifter conversion for like 80 bucks. Could i just go get a manual shift boot and knob and change it myself. I know i still need to get the auto knob for the release but can i remove the automatic lighted shift plate and just drop in a manual shift plate and shift boot?
