    I jacked up the car again to check the possible spring play on the strut and pushed the wheel down and saw that there is some spacing between the top hat and spring.     I didn't sand down anything but I checked each spot the grounds are at with on of those voltage checkers that light up if it is a proper spot and all spots lit up.
