Hey guys I want to upgrade my stock brake calipers from single piston to a bigger one or 4 pistons. I would buy Willwood big brake but the kit cost $3000 which is the value of my accord so no to that. Any thoughts everyone?

Well, what are you pushing that warrants brake upgrades of this caliber? You might just do something like stainless steel lines, some good slotted rotors and pads?

Legend caliper upgrade or RL caliper upgrade. Or, you can buy a used BBK for less than half of the cost of that Wilwood kit. That's what I did.

Honestly unless you are tracking the car consistently you don't really need a BBK, I bought mine mostly for looks.

Yeah, our brakes will take one-helluva beating!

First I'd make sure they actually work like they should. Fluid change, check lines, etc...

The thing is guys my current stock brake caliper and Chinese pads and rotors along with stop tech stainless steel brake lines don't do so well when it rains. Especially when i'm pulling on another car they overheat at a short stop and feel squishy. My last Dyno run was 250 whp so I definitely need more stopping power.

Change your fluid, it's boiling. That is what makes it feel soft. The vapor (boiled) can compress, the fluid can't. It means it has water.

It's probably dark, almost black, and hasn't been changed in 5+ years.

It takes DOT3, can use DOT4, might be able to use 5.1, but not DOT5! IIRC...

Right now I run DOT3, which is due for a change, I might try DOT4, but I'd have to change it ~3x as often.

But how accurate is this information because I don't want to pour money on incompatible parts.

The info that was posted was based on the info available for the parts suggested.

Also, it is a list of setups that someone at some point and time has or is currently using.
