abs problems

ok guys i am having problems with my abs its not working and my abs light on the instrument cluster turn on and stay on. how can i find out what the problem is.

My ABS light when on a while ago and I was pissed.
I thought maybe it's the light so I slammed on the brakes and my car just screeched and slid.
SO I went home ready to see what's up. I turned the car off, turned it back on and the light was gone. I took it for a drive, hit the brakes and my ABS system worked fine.
My only suggestion is to try and reset your ECU and see if that helps.

well actually my abs light been on for a long time i just never new how i could find out what the problem was with out having to go to the deler. So thats why im asking here. Blacknight what you said happen to your car happen to me to it would turn on abs would not work and when i turn off the car it would work again. It did that for a couple of days and then it just stay on all the time. KNow you said reset the computer how i do that.
