Hello, sorry if this has been beaten down to death but I have a factory tape player and I just want a din.. I don't want to put a head unit in it (I have a screen/head unit in the double din part so I don't need the 3rd din for a head unit) I just want the 3rd din as a place to put my ipod, or something. If I buy the 3rd din from Honda or from hondaaccessories, are those 3rd din kits only for head units or are they smooth inside? thanks!

I haven't used one of the lower din kits for the 6th's but with some abs you could make it anyway that you want. If it does have some brackets inside of it will make it easier to utilize an ipod dock or some attachment that you can make.

It's not smooth inside. I wouldn't suggest using it as a "storage pocket".
