5 speed swap wiring ques??

i dont think it will wrk.....correct me if im wrong but the Ulev motors only came in auto not 5spd so u will always have that cel

I'm about to go through the fun task of swapping my 98 LX to a 5spd, I have a complete 01 EX 5spd parts car for the swap. I thought about swapping harnesses between the cars because I'm going to have my interior out anyway when I get to that point, but I think I'm just going to hack up the 5spd harness *gasp* and convert where necessary on the auto harness. Mainly because I want to eliminate as much extra wiring from the bay as possible and don't want any visible wiring modifications to be showing. I'm picky lol

Just cut off the VSS pigtail with enough wire to splice/solder in to your auto and power signal for it. Maybe lay out the 5spd harness to get an idea of what you're looking at/for but I wouldn't go taking it apart when you really don't need to.

I had/have a spare H22 harness I used for misc wire splicing so that they'd all match and I wouldn't get confused. IMO - that's really the only good part of having an extra harness laying around.
