55w HID kit worth it?

go for either 55 watt 6k or 8k
the colors are practically the same because once get 55w the color washes out i have 8 k and it has the slightest tint of blue
basically 35w 6k is the same color as a 55w 8k

I don't understand this. How can a brighter (higher lumen) darker color appear lighter when making it brighter? Shouldn't it then be a 55W 6K if it emits a lighter blue? Do you think this would vary with different manufacturers?

Running the bulbs at a higher wattage washes out some of the color of the bulb. So that is why people recommend getting higher k bulbs when going 55 watt.
