Hello Guys,
i searched on the forum but couldnt find any thing, i have 01 Accord EX 5spd and has only 60K miles. recently i start feeling a slight vibration in the shift knob when shift from 1st to 2nd while moving, i thought its may be i am not shiftting properly then now i feel this while shfting from 2nd to 3rd too. feel no problem when shift the gears when the car is not moving.
i contact two different Honda Mechanics and they said its first production when Honda introduce shift cable system for 5spd and you feel that jerk because your rpm are not matched up with engine speed, there is no problem as long as gears dont grind or pop out. i noticed if i shift my gear at 3K or more i dont feel anything or if i shift in to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd by following the gear lines instead of sliding i dont feel anything. i have no mods into shift knob all i did was isntalled a OBX short throw shifter adapter but now i removed it. if anyone has any idea about it or is it normal or what should i have to look for.
thanks in advance
