Air conditioning problem.

99 sedan V6 A/C. 100k mi.
Problem: the A/C blows cold air but starts to fade as the engine warms up. I did a freon recharge(r134). It didn't work. I had it vacuumed and another recharge. Didn't work. The heater control valve was checked and is working.
Anybody had the same problem before? What do I need to do before going to A/C shop which is my last option?

Does the system hold the charge? Is it pressurized right now? Probably a bad A/C clutch in the compressor.

If the A/C compressor stops working after a while it could be an issue of pressure. Either the freon itself or the pressure switch.

Have u checked ur anti freeze lately? Does the car get above normal temp (temp guage like overheating) while ur ac gets lower?
sounds dumb but when my car had the swap done I was a bit low on anti freeze and the air wasn't as cold and faded out. The car would also warm up higher than normal. Not exactly overheating but not a good spot for the needle to be on, definetly 3/4 of the way up. Once I added antifreeze it was ice cold.
