I keep forgetting your wheel choice is based more on performance than aesthetics. I'm probably not the best person to ask about this, lol. I can't imagine the rules that you have to know for equipment for both safety and mechanics, etc. Glad you have a good source of info.

And yeah, auto x is meh.

Here is NIghthawks most recent email to me

As for rules, and what class you would fall into, you probably would still fall into solo street. just because you have a 6 speed swap doesn't throw that out the window.

For wheels, I would get 17x9 +35-38 in front, and 17x8 in the rear. Roll the fenders good, and put 255 in front, and 215 in the rear.

For suspension, I would get TEIN, if you have the $ get KW, or ohlins.

Before you do all this, drive it the way it is first. learn how to drive so you can understand each change. you will never understand the car if you throw parts at it without feeling it out first.

I'm going to give nighthawk the link to my thread for ****s and giggles in case he wants to look.
Definitely is food for though lol. bigger wheels up from for traction.

I didn't even think of going with TEIN hmm

And Chris I definitely want your input. Your right I am taking in consideration weight of wheel x prices x look etc. the TSW forged wheel is very nice for the price, however the RPF1s are definitely my first choice with best bang for the buck and looks

LMAO at the Tags! Keep em coming ****ing hilarious

Heres my class I'm running

Street Prepared – The original SCCA® “street” category, Street Prepared allows
any carburetor/fuel injection system and any ignition system. Turbo/supercharger
hardware has to remain standard, but aftermarket boost control
systems/programs and intercoolers are allowed. Exhaust manifolds and systems
are free. Emission controls are not required for competition, but no internal
engine or transmission modifications are allowed beyond factory specs (no cams,
hi-comp pistons, ported heads, etc). Some cars are able to update/backdate
components like engines, brakes, etc (See Solo Rules for details and specifics).
There are no limits on wheels sizes or DOT tires; racing springs and shocks are
the norm.

I just got done reading the rule book and my car may not pass at first until I fix some stuff lol

http://www.soloperformance.com which is all SOLO race spec stuff that I need
and
http://www.stage3motorsports.com which also has products I need.

First off is

membership fees, inspection of parts
helmet
steering whee + HUB
Seat, harness, harness bar, 4/5 point harness
gut everything

Found the perfect sites for me that I'll be getting most of my stuff from. They have a huge number of parts especially dedicated to road racers. I'm going with a Corbeau Forza seat or maybe one of their SPARCO seats, harness, seat rails etc. Prices are excellent. On everything I buy I've got to make sure that it is set for "SIA" specs and SOLO SCCA specs. I should be able to get the seat, harness, and rails hopefully for under 500 bucks. Then I'll pick up a Harness bar. I found a power coated one which looks good.

I iz excited:run: :D

You might also want to consider these wheels, Motegi Traklite 2.0

motegi_traklite_2_sml_ci3_l.jpg

14.3 lbs for the 17x8 . . . and it's forged . . . costs around $250 a wheel.

Yeah either one of those I'd love to have. The RPF1s are really affordable!
