sorry if this is the wrong spot for this thread...im new to this...anyway, i have a 2001 V6EX sedan...I have had to replace the alternator bracket 3 times in the last year...has anyone else had this problem? I examined the bolts and they dont look worn or crossthreaded. I think it only happens when I floor it or romp on the accelerator. Thanks for any help in this.

Mine did that three times before I sold it. It must be because you are running and alternator from a J35 or similar. The factory alternator for the J30 motor does not have an issue with the bracket breaking because it is not a separate bracket. Best bet would be to switch back to the factory alternator or look into getting a engine torque damper.

Mine broke recently and the bolt that holds the alternator to the motor broke. Had to pay $150 to take out that broken bolt from the block so be careful with that it might get expensive
