So i'm purposely building my 6thgen for the track. H22A with some mods in the head, vibrant headers, 5zigen exhaust, etc, JIC coilovers

My question is, what is the preferable wheel size for our cars for the track?

i was thinking 16x8. the 17's look a tad big for some odd reason

Any input would be greatly appreciated

weight is always a concern... im sure you know the lighter the better... you cant change the length or width if you plan on going fast invest in some downforce.. and yes the more power the better

16’s are too small, you’ll have too much sidewall in the tire which means instability when it comes to cornering. I would go with 17’s or 18’s with an 8-8.5” width. You’ll want the wheels to be decently light. And get yourself a good set of tires, like T1R’s.

I'd have to say the 17s since you can get some light weight wheels and don't have to worry about the sidewall problems you'll get with the 16's. You can just get a set of rotas or enkei's and be all good to go.
