anyone used monroe or gabriel struts and strut mounts before? those are going for abt $60 each on rockauto...gf's suspension is shot, but not sure if i wanna go KYB which is $20 more expensive at $80 each....

Monroe is popular up here at Canadian Tire (read: el cheapo)

KYB = OEM replacment

ive heard monroe is a decent oem replacement, they usuaully sell them at o'reilley (kragen) auto stores

yeah, rockauto carries monroe too... autozone carries gabriel, but i dun really trust parts from autozone tho lol

ive only used Monroe once, and they were bouncy.

then again, they were on my 96 aerostar....

gabriel struts are bottom of the barrel ... that's what they stock at autozone ... i'd get them for a stock spring/shock combo but that's it

my old boss told me monroe used to be awesome a long time ago. i thought they were basically oem replacement now. i've never used them but I know pepboys sells them
