i had my axle back bolted to my stock piping. It will still work fine. but just go 2 a muffler shop and they would put it all together for you... IT shouldnt be more than 200 bucks

custom exhaust usually means;
piping + muffler + resonator (optional)

which means most of the time they are loud.
plus tanabe muffler = loud muffler

i suggest you buying looooooong resonator to add on....

FYI, i have 2.25inch piping, 18" vibrant resonator, 22" magnaflow corkscrew resonator, and magnaflow peformance muffler.....
and it is still loud, i can barely talk to passengers when iim on freeway

i have a tanabe medallion muffler with 2 resonators on it as well and although it is louder than stock it is quite a nice rumble tone without being very loud at all(or ric3y)

yea i just picked up the tanabe medallion dual axlebacks today. i am putting them on my stock piping for now, just temporary cause school is starting and need money for that.

but down the road in 2-3 months, how much should i expect to pay for custom piping and/or resonator with my dual tanabe mufflers with labor? nyk said about 200, is that about right? i dont want to get ripped off, i believe there are quite a few muffler shops around this area so i will shop around but i need some of your opinions on how much i should expect to pay.

thanks!

it all depends if you put a resonator. Also the diameter and material of the piping. I was gonna do this with my HKS axle back but i decided to go in a different direction.

when i was looking. to bend for a V6 with dual, with a split, stainless piping at 2.25" and all the welding it was $325 at the shop i go to. little high for what i was thinking but it was the cheapest around.
