does anyone know what this part is called? it's on the rear, passenger side of the engine, right behind the distributor on the f23...and it's leaking oil really bad where it connects to the engine...

Thank you!

Any idea why it would be leaking oil like that? And do you think this would be a dealer item?

No it is not a dealer part. If i'm not mistaken you can pull one off of any honda with vtec and it will work. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

I suspected the valve cover gasket too, but I just replaced that... And oil is actively leaking/dripping from where this solenoid bolts up to the engine

The gasket hardens up over time and can leak alot of oil. The gasket isnt very expensive at Honda. OEM stuff is always best in my opinion :)

Change that gasket and your oil leak will be cured my friend!
