hey guys
so iv just put in front upper camber arms and im wondering how tight to do the upper ball joints up.? Iv just done them up tight with a socket set and i noticed the hole for the split pin is below or just level with the castle nut so its only just going to hold the nut from undoing. Is this ok or could i have tightened the nut to much??
Is there any noise or feeling id notice from it being to tight?
thanks

There is an official shop manual which should have the torque specs (it's been posted here and online). When I tightened mine I made note of how tight the ones were that I removed before the job, and tightened the new ones to that effect. Basically I made them as tight as I could with a socket wrench (not breaker bar) and whichever turn ended up making the holes line up to inser the pin, that's where I stopped. No issues since.
