I finally remembered to check the coolant level in the radiator before I started driving and sure enough it was low. Topped it off this morning and connected the fans back to the original switch (I did have it bypassed for a bit to see if it would help) and now after sitting there idling for awhile the temps rose up to 206 then the fans kicked in and cooled it back down just like its supposed to. Which brings me to another question: Where did it go? Its not leaking that I can tell, but it did throw a code just a little bit ago when it was idling for a cylinder 1 misfire and there is a little bit of white smoke from the exhaust. Could it be burning it and how can I tell for sure?
Also the short term fuel trim went from -25ish to -15ish at idle after topping it off.
Also #2 (This was going on before I topped it off and still is) the car tends to surge/jerk a lot at anything above 1800 RPM when its first started in the morning but as it warms up the RPMs it starts surging at rises until its almost a non issue. Like you can run it to redline before shifting and it will give one small surge if any after its been driven for a good 10 minutes.
